Lessons from a café floor
I watched a young couple with an even younger child at a café yesterday. The parents took turns watching her -- one keeping an eye as she crawled around, the other sipping coffee and chatting with friends. They couldn’t do it together, because the kid wasn’t having it.
She wasn’t walking yet, but she didn’t want to sit still either. She wanted to go everywhere, touch everything, smile at everyone. She wanted to explore the world.
And for a moment, I thought: maybe we all have something to learn from her.
If you don’t quite know how to do something yet, that’s okay. Curiosity is enough to start.
