That thing that you loved (before you googled it):

Let me give you an example: You just watched this movie you totally loved. In particular that charming but unknown actor who plays the lead role. But then you read online that most people didn't really like this actor, they found many faults, and generally his acting is found to be terrible. Damn, what should I think now? Do I still love the movie? Or do I back and reassess? At this point I'm questioning everything. And the deeper I go, the worse it gets.

I remember this exact thing happening with the movies I loved as a kid. Growing up in 90s Russia with a limited supply of VHS tapes, you watched the same action films over and over - and you liked them. You believed they were the coolest thing ever.

But years later, you find out that people on the internet consider them average at best. And suddenly, you start looking for flaws in your favorite childhood movies - even though nothing about them has actually changed.

Try not to outsource your opinions - especially the fun ones.
